Dave Stedman - Chair of Trustees
Revd. David Stedman is our chair of trustees. He is Senior Minister of Canterbury Baptist Church, a director of Churches Together in Canterbury, community governor at a local primary school and a member of BMS World Mission Council of Reference. He regularly visits Uganda managing projects, developing leaders and on behalf of School Connect. Dave lives in Canterbury with his wife and family.
Jen Dorman - Trustee
Jen Dorman has worked all over the world, including spending time living and working in Nepal. She spends a lot of time working with international visitors in Canterbury, where she now lives, and has lived and worked in various countries in Asia, Africa and Europe. In Canterbury she mentors asylum seekers and has been a trustee since School Connect was founded.
Emma Hendy - Trustee
Emma Hendy is a teacher working in three Kent primary schools as a specialist in creative curriculum practice, who lives in Faversham, Kent. She works closely with Matt providing support and materials for the UK linked schools in teaching about Uganda through School Connect.
Michelle Anderson - Trustee
Michelle Anderson is the headteacher of Kingsmead Primary School in Canterbury, linked with Kiswa Community School in Kampala. She is married to Matt, our UK schools' worker, and lives in Chartham with her two young children.
Sally Cox - Trustee and Treasurer
Sally Cox is a teacher at Hampton Primary School in Kent, linked with Agirigiroi in Uganda. She first visited Uganda in 2008 and has since been back many times! She now works for School Connect as our treasurer and regularly visits the linked schools in Uganda with updates and deliveries.
Moses Elebu - Treasurer
Moses Elebu is a Baptist Pastor and Chairman of the Atirir District Baptist Association. He has been involved with School Connect since it was founded and has been treasurer for the Uganda account throughout that period.
Matt Anderson - Operations Manager and UK Link Worker
Matt Anderson is our UK-based schools' worker. Married to Michelle, Matt is working with the UK schools to promote global citizenship education and enable them to get the most form their partnerships. He leads staff meetings and training and takes assemblies class and workshops in our linked schools across Kent. Matt also takes care of the day to day running of School Connect in the UK. In previous lives he has been a teacher, Head of RE and has also worked in Business to Business Marketing.
Francis Esomu - Uganda School's Worker
Francis Esomu is a Baptist Pastor and Principle of Atirir Bible School. He has been involved with School Connect since it was founded and has been Schools Link Worker since 2010. He lives with his wife and family in the Atirir District, north of Soroti.
Heather Ratcliffe - PreSchool Connect Worker
Heather Ratcliffe is an Early Years specialist with experience running her own preschool who also works for Spinnaker Trust. She visits schools delivering assemblies and is currently developing 'Preschool-connect,' promoting learning about Africa through stories and workshops for preschools and early years.
